A fine day on Range West (doing a vegetation survey) produced very nice views of a snow bunting near the Wash this morning, and an hour later 3 lapland buntings near Mount Sion (they eventually flew off west towards Linney Head/Angle peninsula area) single merlin, kestrel, sparrowhawk, peregrine and a goshawk noted at various times during the day. Only a small number of chough seemed to be present (about a dozen at most) and there was a late-ish wheatear near Linney Head.
