3 Lapland buntings between pond and N-S runway (
map). c30 snipe and a few skylarks. Something was spooking the lapwings and starlings. 4 buzzards and 12 ravens on sheep carcass.
Gann (low tide) Long-billed dowitcher still in its favourite spot, viewed from embankment. A shoal of mullet in the reeds (spawning?), kingfisher same area. Pair Reed buntings. 29 Brent, merganser (f), 6 Goldeneye (3m,3f), Greenshank in the river. Great Northern diver out from Dale and 3 Great Crested grebe.
