Surprised to the 62 Brent Geese still here this evening, all in one tight group at the river mouth and then gradually drifting out into the bay as the tide rose further still. On the beach 2 Whimbrel and a single Bar-tailed Godwit, still in winter dress. Out in the bay 2 Great Northern Divers and (the) a single Gannet.
At least 8 Redshank still on the lagoon, no sign of the Greenshank or Dunlin but the Knot was back. 3 Snipe flew up from the lagoon edge as the tide flooded it once again (7.7m this evening). Somehow the Teal had increased to 10, but just 3 Shelduck (although as it got dark we could hear lots of Shelducky noise emanating from the top of the lagoon).
Early this morning (the) 2 Chough again probing in the short grass opposite the house.
