An early pre-work visit drew a blank in yesterdays fields near Hundleton (they're the ones with green carpet at the entrance, posh down that way!). On walking down the steep road to Quoits Mill and scanning from near the coast path, a flock of 7 Cattle egrets appeared flying around the mouth of the pill before splitting into two groups, 5 went back in the direction of Hundleton/Bentlass and 2 flew over my head and may well have joined up in the same area they were in yesterday. Only large gulls in the fields outside Hundleton when I returned. Thanks to Mike Davey for the information from yesterdays sightings.
