Seemed like a good day to check the bay for scoters. From Newgale to Broad Haven some 520 Common Scoter counted, the biggest flocks off Rickett's Head, Druidston & Broad Haven. A drake Pintail was unusual off Druidston, a Velvet Scoter (female/1CY) was more expected off Broad Haven. Great Northern Diver were present off Broad Haven (1) and Druidston (2) (and another 2 were in Dale Bay), 5 Red-throated Diver were off Broad Haven.
