Yesterday (Saturday 8 January) we saw eight swans on the pond north of St David’s Airfield: however, as they were all roosting with their heads under their wings I cannot categorically confirm that they were Whooper Swans, as had been reported earlier in the week. Today (Sunday 9 January) we were rather pleased and excited to see a Barn Owl hunting over Trefeiddan Moor, between about 4.00 and 4.15 pm. Best wishes Bronwen Davies
