High tide last night yesterday and there was a good variety of waders, including a Green Sandpiper heard calling a few times.
Also, 122 Lapwing, 40 Dunlin, three Greenshank, 73 Redshank, two Great Spotted Woodpecker, and c.1000 Starling heading east.
Interesting to watch groups of Black-headed Gull heading down the river in groups of typically about 20, but up to 120, presumably to roost, at Sprinkle Pill, I would have guessed?
